About This Therapy

Pichu is a gentle yet deeply effective Ayurvedic localised treatment in which a thick pad of cotton soaked in warm medicated oil is placed over a specific affected area of the body. The term "Pichu" means padding or sponging — capturing the nature of this therapy precisely. As the oil cools, it is periodically replaced with freshly warmed, oil-soaked cotton to maintain a consistent therapeutic temperature. It is particularly effective for cranial nerve conditions and painful degenerative disorders.

How It Works

A thick piece of clean, absorbent cotton is generously soaked in warm medicated Ayurvedic oil and placed directly over the affected region — commonly the spine, skull, or any painful localised area. The cotton is held in place and replaced every few minutes as it cools, ensuring continuous delivery of warm medicinal oil to the area. The entire process is gentle, non-invasive, and deeply soothing.
